Institute Director Dr Levente Székely attended the TEEM'24 (Technological Ecosystems for Enhancing Multiculturality 2024) conference in Alicante, Spain. He gave a presentation entitled “Can We Call Today’s Youth The AI generation?” with the following key conclusions:
- There is growing frustration in society regarding the future, especially among young people;
- This, together with mental health problems, could lead to a kind of generational insecurity;
- Young people often use AI tools, and most view development in AI as a positive phenomenon;
- Competing narratives such as the Greta Thundberg and the COVID generation have weakened, but can today's youth be called the “AI generation”?
