Originally from the United States, Katica Hier came to Budapest through the Balassi Bálint Program after completing high school in New Jersey. She later earned her bachelor’s degree at McDaniel College in Budapest.
Katica’s professional journey includes diverse roles as a translator, copywriter, and English teacher, ultimately leading to a marketing position at a startup in Krakow, Poland. After nearly two years in Krakow, she returned to Budapest to contribute her skills to MCC, bringing her expertise in marketing and project management.
Her personal and academic interests focus on family policy, demographics, diaspora activities, and youth studies. Outside of her professional endeavors, Katica is a dedicated practitioner of folk singing.
