Youth Research Institute Deputy Director Georgina Kiss-Kozma PhD attended the Growing Up in the Culture Wars symposium, organised by Canterbury Christ Church University, where she delivered one of the introductory presentations in the session titled “Generations and the Family: The Birth Rate Dilemma.”

She was accompanied by three MCC students, who actively took part in the discussions and enriched the exchange of ideas with their own perspectives and contributions.

The conference focused on issues that fundamentally shape our future. Topics included the challenges facing young people in an increasingly polarised cultural and political environment, the possible causes and social consequences of declining birth rates, and the impact of cultural, political, and religious divisions on youth. Participants approached these important social issues from a variety of perspectives throughout the event.
